  • Initial Coin Offerings (ICO's) are means of offering investors units or tokens as digital assets and a store of value creating a cryptocurrency.  The most well-known cryptocurrencies are Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin. 
  • Since 2013, ICOs are often used by startup companies to fund the development of new company branded tokens as cryptocurrencies. 
  • The capital raised can be used for working capital, software development, hiring or other business uses. The pre-created token can be easily sold and traded on all cryptocurrency exchanges if there is demand for them.
